LA Comedy Live presents Singaporean comedian Jinx Yeo — in his first LIVE full-length headline comedy show since the COVID-19 shutdown. The show will happen on Sunday, 4 July 2021, 4pm & 8pm at the Esplanade Concert Hall.

Featuring a mixture of new material and "greatest hits", Jinx Yeo pulls no punches. From Asian parenting, to weird diets, to Bitcoin fever, to PC cancel culture, to dating & relationships, and much more — Jinx makes fun of it all.

The show also features a supporting cast of two of Singapore's fast-rising comedy stars — Jacky Ng and Siraj Aziz.

LA Comedy Live’s Lauretta Alabons says

“Jinx had his first paid gig in 2011 at Rob Schneider’s show presented by LA Comedy Live. 10 years on in 2021, Jinx is headlining a comedy show at the Esplanade Concert Hall with LA Comedy Live. The COVID-19 shutdown has reunited us.”

Because of safe-distancing measures, only a limited number of seats are available. Come join us for 90 minutes of non-stop belly laughs!

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Jinx Yeo

Jinx Yeo is an award-winning Singaporean comedian who was nominated "Best Comedy" at the Fringe World Awards 2018. His hard-hitting punchlines, effortless delivery, and clever material won him 1st Runner-Up at the Hong Kong International Comedy Festival (2011) and Finalist in the America Meet World Global Comedy Competition (2014).

★★★★ AdelaideNow.com.au

Jinx's TV appearances include Comedy Central Asia (where he was “Comedian of the Month” for June 2015); Channel 5’s “Ok Chope” as well as ABCTV’s “Comedy Up Late” (recorded at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2017).

Birthed from intercourse between his strict conservative Asian upbringing, and anti-authoritarian Hippie influences from studying in America. Jinx's comedy offers a fresh perspective that hasn't been covered by many comedians, partly because Singaporeans have often been stereotyped as humourless and regimented people.

“The standout act was Singaporean Jinx Yeo”

- EVENTalaide

Having entertained sold-out crowds in 16 countries (such as Australia, China, New Zealand, India, UK, and even Germany) over 3 continents, Jinx’s comedy is based on observations and experiences that are widely relatable - not just to Asians, but to audiences of other backgrounds and ethnicities as well.

Jacky Ng

Jacky is one of Singapore’s youngest professional comedians. With his unique sense of style and humour, his wacky stories and zany observations have made him one of the fastest rising figures in the local stand-up scene. He has performed in comedy shows around Asia and was also the youngest comedian to perform at the 2016 Singapore Comedy Fringe Festival. He has supported international acts such as Stewart Goldsmith, Hannibal Buress and Stephen Carlin at their regional shows. In August of 2019, Jacky became the first local stand-up comedian to produce and release a stand-up comedy album, titled No Ice Milo.

Siraj Aziz

Siraj Aziz is an emcee, comedian, writer and rapper and an all-round entertainer. He writes for SGAG as his day job, and by night, he's hitting the mics of Singapore's top stand-up comedy clubs. A polished performer and a showman, he brings a touch of class to every event and laughter all around.
