DEARIS DOLL from Drag Race Thailand will also be joining Sasha as Special Guest for this show. You can expect a variety of lip sync performances and games from this dazzling queen!
“Sasha Velour is the Queer Royal We Deserve.” - Teen Vogue
The evening will feature a 30-minute cabaret-style set created and staged by Sasha Velour, winner of Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 9—celebrating the spectacle and heart of drag, the show includes some of her favourite numbers, and new original performances debuted at New York City’s Pride Island Festival.
"There’s avant-garde, and then there’s Sasha Velour." - Vanity Fair
You can expect to walk away enlightened and enriched by this queen's amazing art. Don't miss your chance to catch this once in a lifetime experience with one of the true drag artists of the Brooklyn nightlife scene.
Sasha Velour is a gender-fluid drag queen and illustrator who lives in New York. Velour won season 9 of the Emmy-winning reality TV competition, Rupaul's Drag Race which was nominated for an additional 8 Emmys that same year. She produces and stars in the drag show “Nightgowns," which has been called “[the] thinking queens drag show by Time Out NY and “eclectic, wild and highly personal” by Billboard Magazine.
“Sasha Velour has prioritized using her own platforms and passionate fanbase to bring visibility to a diverse spectrum of performers.” - People Magazine
Velour has been featured in publications such as Vogue, People Magazine, Vanity Fair, Teen Vogue, and Paper Magazine. Velour has further created, produced, and designed photoshoots, collages, and drawings that discuss art and drag. As a world-renowned thought leader, Sasha uses her platform to discuss politics, gender and LGBTQ+ issues, and was billed as a major standout speaker at the 2018 Teen Vogue Summit in New York City.
Sasha is also the creative force behind Velour: The Drag Magazine, a yearly publication about drag artists that has been called “unmistakably thoughtful...[with an] edgy, demure, and exacting aesthetic” by Bushwick Daily.
