ABOUT THE ARTIST
Liza Treyger is a Chicago-bred standup comic who now resides in NYC. She was featured on the prestigious Variety’s 2017 TOP 10 COMICS TO WATCH list and was a standout performer at Just for Laughs Festival 2019 in Montreal. She also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2019 to sell-out crowds and rave reviews. Most recently she can be seen on her Netflix half-hour stand up comedy special which is part of a new series called THE DEGENERATES.
‘A very likeable New Yorker with a smart mouth and a face set almost permanently to deadpan. Self-deprecating and well-judged approaches to tricky topics.' - The List (UK)
In 2015, Treyger released her first half-hour comedy special in addition to her first album with Comedy Central. She has also performed at comedy festivals such as Clusterfest in San Francisco and Moontower in Austin, Texas, among others. She was also a part of the 2012 New York Comedy Festival as one of Comedy Central’s ‘Comics to Watch’.
‘Treyger offers an ideal slice of seedy late-night comedy, with attitude to spare and a keen self-aware wit. ★★★★' - Chortle (UK)
Treyger has appeared on television series such as ADAM DEVINE’S HOUSE PARTY on Comedy Central, CHELSEA LATELY, was a cast member on MTV2’s JOKING OFF, and also has an epic web series called ‘How Many Questions’. Fresh from her Netflix comedy special, Liza has been on a UK and Europe tour for her standup show ‘In The Weeds’.
“In the Weeds still turned out to be a frequently hilarious and unexpectedly intelligent hour of stand-up. It also demonstrated Treyger is a fast-rising talent worth keeping an eye out for.” - theweereview.com
