ABOUT ARTISTE

Katya Zamolodchikova, drag persona of Brian Joseph McCook, is an established drag queen, actor and comedian. Katya is best known for her appearances as a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 and RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars Season 2. Katya finished in fifth place on Season 7 of Drag Race. Despite not having won the crown, she was a fan favourite and went on to win the title of Miss Congeniality. In All Stars Season 2 of Drag Race, she placed as a runner-up to winner Alaska.

Katya also stars in many web series, which she uploads on her YouTube channel.  Fan favourites include Total RuCall and Irregardlessly Trish, the latter features her as a Bostonian hairdresser who lives in a dumpster. Katya and fellow queen Trixie Mattel also revitalized their web series “UNHhhh” on WOWPresents Plus and YouTube due to popular demand and the success of the show. She also had a role in the 2018 film Hurricane Bianca: From Russia With Hate, starring Bianca Del Rio, another fan favourite and winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6.

Katya is also one of the few queens who have the honor of being made into Funko Pop! Figurines. With a massive following of 1.5 million fans on Instagram, and her never-ending projects (she even co-hosts a podcast called Whimsically Volatile!), Katya shows no signs of slowing down. Katya is on the constant rise.
